report, directly employed 841
people in our offices.
Property Management
NWD's ESG data cover commercial/retail
properties that are directly managed by
the Group and have been in operation
for over 12 months, as well as residential
properties that have been directly
managed by the Group for over 12
months.
Property Development
NWD has completed projects with BEAM
certification representing over 747,000 sqm
GFA, and has received BEAM certification for
ongoing projects representing a further 576,000
sqm GFA. In Mainland China, projects have
received LEED and China Green Building Label
certification, representing over 1.35m
sqm GFA.
NWCL
NWCL's ESG information is included in this
section. NWCL was a publicly listed company
in Hong Kong as of 31 July 2016 and directly
employed 4,941 people.

For on-going development projects in
Hong Kong, 69% of the total GFA has
received green building certification (BEAM
or BEAM Plus). It is anticipated that over
two thirds of these projects will receive
final Gold or Platinum - level certification.
In the previous reporting period, the
share of GFA-represented by on-going
projects that had received green building
certification was 98%. The decline to
69% during this reporting period can be
attributed to new projects that are still in
the process of applying for green building
certification.
